Flipbook Drawing

The course focuses on learning how moving images can be created with simply pen and paper. Student will learn to draw dramatic figurative movements, gestures, facial expressions, and various effects. Student will create a 15-page graphical flip book that tells a short story or an entertaining event. This course aims to enhance student’s ability to express narrative ideas with illustrations.

Crafts Activity

Ongoing course at YWCA

Creative Lab - Projects with a Web Portfolio

This class will be a time in the children’s’ busy schedules dedicated to free thinking and creative expression. The core of this class is to encourage creativity, innovation and independent thinking. The student’s creations can be anything from a DIY toy to a utility product, an abstract artwork to a purposeful painting. 

 

The last lesson of the course will be the web-portfolio-making day. Students will organise their creative evidence (photos, writing, video, sketch) on their personal WIX website. They can share their personal web portfolio with friends and family and continue to build on it even after the class.

 

Note: 

  • All materials are included in the course fee

  • Students can bring their own Ipad/Phone to record their creative process, else the teacher will help record it for them.

Ongoing course at YWCA

National Art Exams Preparation​


This course aims to prepare kindergarten children for their primary school application
portfolio. Students will learn practical art skills to fulfil the requirements of the National Art
Examination awarded by HKEAA. We are running this course in our studio at North Point,

as well as at YWCA in Mid-Levels. 

 

Date:

Every Wednesday 4:30-5:30pm at YWCA

Level 1: Practice colouring in the given line drawing samples.
Level 2: Practice colouring. Focus on colour combination. Add simple decoration to background.
Level 3: Advance of Level 2

 

Please enrol for the preparation class for at least 12-16 weeks to allow sufficient practice for
Enlightenment Level 1, 2 or 3 exam. Exams are held twice each year in March and August.
Teacher can advise the parents when the students are ready to appear for the exam. Parents
have to book and pay for the exam directly with HKEAA.
